IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT SHIPPING: Please completely read our shipping policies to ensure that we are able to meet your shipping deadline. PIECE OF CAKE DOES NOT SEND YOUR CHEESECAKE BY MAIL FOR DELIVERIES ON SUNDAYS, MONDAYS, TUESDAYS AS WELL AS NEW YEARS DAY, MEMORIAL DAY, INDEPENDENCE DAY, LABOR DAY, THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS DAY (December 25). How does Piece of Cake ship your cheesecake by mail? * We ship our cheesecakes on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday via 2-Day delivery so they can only be delivered on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. * Saturday delivery is available to limited zip codes and only by phone reqeuest. Please contact us by Wednesday to find out if Saturday delivery is available. Saturday delivery is an additional charge. * Sorry, we cannot ship cakes to arrive on Sunday. * We are not responsible if a date is selected that is not available. * We do not mark up the shipping. * You may email us your FedEx number if you would rather charge the shipping portion of your order to your FedEx account. How do you package your cheesecakes for shipping? * Our shipping containers are state-of-the-art cheesecake containers! Piece of Cake's cheesecakes are fully encased and protected in Styrofoam. This keeps the cold in and the heat out! All cheesecakes are shipped fully frozen. How do you keep the cheesecakes cold? * Our custom designed inner-shipping container completely surrounds the cheesecake with two inches of Styrofoam insulation. The outer shipping container is a corrugated box for added strength and protection. Why can't I have a cheesecake delivered on a Monday or Tuesday? * We can not initiate a shipment on the weekend. We SHIP Monday - Wednesday, for DELIVERY on Wednesday - Friday. When do I have to place my order if I want it delivered this week? * We must receive your order BEFORE 12:00 Noon (Central Time) two days BEFORE you want your cheesecake to arrive. Wednesday is the cut off for two day delivery for the week. With shipping costs, the product seems expensive? * Piece of Cake 's cheesecakes are made by hand, not in a factory with only the finest ingredients so they are expensive to make – and they are heavy and require quick shipping, which makes them cost extra to ship. * Once you factor in the cost of your time and given the quality and size of our product, we believe that we are very competitively priced. We are confident that you will be pleased. Do you ship to APO or AFO addresses? * Unfortunately, due to the delay in the military shipping process, our perishable product cannot be on the road for longer than 2 days. What happens if the recipient is not home? * FedEx will leave the package in a safe place at the address. Most of our shipments are left at the door. Customer is solely responsible for the accuracy of shipping addresses, and to make sure that someone is available that day to accept delivery. * As an alternative, we recommend that you ship to a business address if possible, as generally there is somebody there all day to receive the cheesecake. Can I send a Piece of Cake cheesecake to someone in a foreign country or Canada? * Unfortunatly no. It's very expensive, and they can not guarantee timely delivery. Customs issues can also slow down the delivery. Our perishable product does not like to linger in customs sheds. If I order two cheesecakes for the same address can they be sent in one package at less cost? * Unfortunately, no. Each cheesecake has to go into it's own insulated-designed package. Can I order today for delivery in the future? * Yes, just give us a call. Can I include a note with the cheesecakes? * Yes. During checkout you may enter a personalized message to include with your cheesecake. Our bakers will include that handwritten message with your order. back to your ordering
